A Different Approach to Growth & Healing
At 18, after dropping out of college and going through a difficult season of life, John found himself searching for something deeper. What began as a personal search for meaning, direction, and healing eventually became the foundation of the work he does today.
Since then, John has built a practice rooted in openness, self-awareness, connection, and meaningful change. His approach to therapy is not about becoming a different person. It is about learning new ways to meet life with greater flexibility, honesty, and intention.
John is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in Vermont. He has been in private practice since 2017 and works with individuals 13 and older, couples, and families.
His work commonly supports clients navigating:
-
Anxiety and chronic stress
-
Trauma and grief
-
ADHD and difficulty focusing
-
Relationship and communication challenges
-
School stress and life transitions
-
Self-worth, perfectionism, and emotional overwhelm
-
Chronic pain and personal growth
John specializes in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and has continued his training with leaders in the field including Kelly Wilson, Matthieu Villatte, and Robyn Walser. His background also includes work in community mental health, school-based counseling, behavioral intervention, and clinical supervision.
Throughout his career, John has provided workshops and trainings on ACT and behavioral science, and has spoken at multiple professional conferences, including several ACBS World Conferences and regional behavioral health conferences.
His approach blends evidence-based psychotherapy with thoughtful, compassionate support tailored to each individual and relationship. He views therapy as a collaborative process focused on helping people create lives that feel more connected, meaningful, and sustainable over time.
John believes therapy should be a space where people feel safe to explore who they are and what matters most to them. His practice is LGBTQ+ and Autism affirming, and welcomes people from diverse backgrounds, identities, and life experiences.
